Terms of Use

What this service is
TaxAppealHub is free to use. You enter a few details about your property and we compare your assessed value against published home-value data to estimate whether you may be over-assessed, and roughly what an appeal might save you. We then tell you which route we would take in your position: a specialist who works on contingency, a flat-fee service, or handling it yourself.
What the estimate is not
- It is not an appraisal. We use published market data, typically a zip-level home-value index. It is not a valuation of your specific property and it does not account for its condition, improvements, or recent comparable sales.
- It is not legal, tax, or financial advice. We are not a law firm and we are not your tax representative. Nothing here creates a professional relationship of any kind.
- It is not a prediction. An appeal can fail even when the numbers look favourable. Filing deadlines are set by each county, they change, and they are enforced strictly. Confirming the deadline and the filing requirements with your county is your responsibility, and the date we display is an estimate for guidance only.
- It is not a guarantee of savings. Estimated savings are calculated from published tax rates and the gap we find, and your actual bill depends on your county's assessment and rate rules.
The companies we recommend
We may be paid when a company we recommend takes on your case. That is how the site is funded, and it is why we show you our reasoning rather than only a recommendation: the comparison we show, including when a cheaper or free route suits you better, is what we would show you if no money were involved. Any company you engage is a separate business with its own terms, its own pricing, and its own responsibility for the work. We do not perform appeals ourselves.
Using the site
Use it for its intended purpose, do not attempt to disrupt it or access it in an automated way that degrades it for others, and do not submit information about a property you have no right to enquire about.
Accuracy and availability
The site is provided as is. We work to keep the data current, and county rules and tax rates change, so we cannot promise that everything is accurate at the moment you read it. We may change, suspend, or withdraw any part of the service.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site or from a decision you make based on it, including lost savings, a missed filing deadline, or an unsuccessful appeal.
Our total liability to you is limited to US $100. That covers every claim of any kind connected with the site, however it arises, and anyone we would otherwise be responsible for. It does not limit any liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the current version.
